Identification of DGRs in host-associated and environmental genomes: Prevalence, diversity, and roles
Summary
This study aims to detect DGRs in genomes from a wide range of environments and organisms. It will leverage DGR study by using the most comprehensive global microbial genome catalog published to date, the Genomes from Earth’s Microbiomes catalog (GEM), consisting of 52,515 MAGs. We aimed to determine the presence of DGRs among taxa and environments and characterize their prevalence, diversity, and roles.
